Varun Dhawan, Bollywood actor, and son of director David Dhawan, born on April 24, 1987, in Mumbai.  Varun is one of the highest-paid actors in Bollywood. Varun started his show business career working as an assistant director to Karan Johar on ‘My Name is Khan’ (2010).  In 2012, he made his acting debut in Johar’s ‘Student of the Year’, along with Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra. His comic timing and his dance style can be seen in any of his next four successful movies: ‘Main Tera Hero’ (2014), ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ (2014), ‘ABCD 2’ (2015); and ‘Dilwali’ (2015). Varun also won critical praise for revealing a darker side as a man who seeks revenge when his young wife and son are killed in the crime thriller ‘Badlapur’ (2015). In 2016, Varun co-starred as John Abraham’s sidekick in the action crime film ‘Dishoom’. His most recent releases have also been successful, ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ (2017), a romantic comedy co-starring Alia Bhatt (third time), ‘Judwaa 2’ (2017), in a double role directed by his father, ‘October’ (2018), a slice of life Shoojit Sircar film, ‘Sui Dhaaga’ (2018), as an entrepreneur. Varun was the lead in Karan Johar’s unsuccessful multi-starrer historical drama, ‘Kalank’ (2018). He can currently be seen in ‘Street Dancer 3D’, with Shraddha Kapoor and Prabhu Deva. Varun will have a special appearance in Salman Khan’s upcoming ‘Bharat’. His next movie will be ‘Coolie No. 1’, a remake of one of his father’s films made in 1995.
