Kangana Ranaut biography
Kangana Ranaut, a controversial Indian actress, born on March 23, 1987, in Bhambla, a small town in Himachal Pradesh. While still a teenager, she moved to Delhi and became a model. Kangana is known as a fashion icon and an outspoken actress. Kangana can be seen in such films as ‘Gangster’ (her debut in 2006), ‘Fashion’ (won National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2008), ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbai’, ‘Tanu Weds Manu’, ‘Krrish3’ (2013), ‘Queen’ (won National Film Award for Best Actress in 2014), and ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ (2015) appearing in a double role which won her the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress. In 2017, Kangana was seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Rangoon’, with Shahd Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan., Although it was unsuccessful at the box office, Kangana won critical praise for her performance as a 1940s action star. She won praise for  ‘Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi’ (2019), a biopic of Lakshmibai, the Warrior Queen of the Indian Rebellion of 1857, and a mental patient in ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’ (2019). In 2020, Kangana starred in the sports film ‘Panga’, as a housewife who returns to the kabaddi field. This year, Kangana was presented with the Padma Shri by the Indian government for her contribution to films.
